Job description

An opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the philanthropic landscape and develop key grant-making skills in a professional team within a growing Center of Excellence for grant-making. The inspiring and flexible working environment in Cape Town.

A 12-month internship opportunity from January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022.

Responsibilities:

Support the effective management of the entire grant lifecycle from application to application to closing, including developing and/or analyzing opportunities, conducting thorough due diligence, maintaining and updating the grant management system, drafting grant agreements, preparing payments , tracking milestones , reviewing and monitoring beneficiary reporting.
Provide input into beneficiary capacity building interventions and workshop coordination.

Assist with grant communication during Philanthropy Initiative campaigns and support the development of newsletters for internal and external stakeholders.
Proactively develop strong, professional relationships and partnerships with partners of the Philanthropy Initiative, including beneficiaries and ambassadors.
Increase technical knowledge in key focus areas and share insights and observations with the granting team and other stakeholders where relevant.
Experience and qualifications:

Bachelors in:
Development,
Business,
Economics or something like that.
Preference will be given to EE candidates.
