Description of the practices

mm2m is looking for an inspired, passionate, hard-working and ambitious Communications Intern.

The purpose of the role is to help the Communications team achieve its 2022 strategic goals, including successfully planning and executing the implementation of the organization’s new strategic plan, supporting the recruitment and training of a new cohort of m2m Spokespeople , and helping the organization improve its internal communications.

This internship offers an exciting and deep immersion in a variety of communication activities.

Responsibilities:

Create evergreen content for social media
Contribute to website blogs, email content, internal and external articles, social media posts, and others as needs dictate.
Record voiceovers for m2m videos.
Assist in the recruitment and training of new m2m Spokespersons
Leadership in the development of the Spokespersons newsletter
Research and essay to prepare spokespersons for external engagements
Support in head office and country activations of the new m2m strategy, including content development, meeting planning, feedback gathering and other tasks relevant to the project.
Play an active role in the development of the bi-weekly internal staff newsletter, including ownership of at least one section.
Work closely with other departments to fulfill all internal communication needs; such as advising and distributing communication materials.
Support the Communications Assistant and other team members as needed with tasks including:
All administrative documents must be completed and submitted in accordance with the Finance and G&C deadlines.
All m2m assets archived correctly and in a timely manner.
Act as Internal Liaison of the Department of Communications to obtain and update information;
Assist with website maintenance, including image titles, etc.
Play a role in department analysis: Collect and analyze data on department performance and suggest areas for improvement.
Qualifications / Requirements

Diploma or degree in:
Marketing,
Journalism,
Communications
Or any similar field.
Matrix/Grade 12
While we will consider applications from new graduates, priority will be given to those with at least some relevant professional experience.
Required Competencies:

Excellent computer skills
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (especially PPT and Word).
Committed team player with the ability to foster strong working relationships in a multicultural environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with liaison ability at all levels.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work to tight deadlines within a pressurized environment
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Understanding and patience in working closely with colleagues from other cultures with multiple languages.
Compassion, respect and understanding of the work that m2m does.
A team player who is highly adaptable, works well under time pressure, and has a sense of humor.
Excellent writing and editing skills
Skills or experience in digital marketing and content management, using tools such as WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Social Media Channels.
Skills or experiences in employee engagement and internal communications.
