Job description
Necsa offers unemployed candidates aged 18-30 the opportunity for a 12-month Security Learnership.
Requirements:
Must be between 18 and 30 years old
Must be in possession of a Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
Must be South African citizens
Must not have a criminal record.
Once an applicant has successfully met the requirements; he/she receives a recognized safety qualification. The learner is given the following qualification and unit standards:
National Certificate: General Security Practice – SAQA ID58577 (NQF Level 03) with a total of a minimum of 124 credits, including unit standards:
Unitary standards:
NKP related unit standards including; 246693 explaining the requirements for securing a national key point,” 12484 Conduct Basic Firefighting; 116534, Performing Basic First Aid Practice in the Workplace.
firearms standards; 117705 Demonstrate knowledge of the Firearms Control Act 2000 (Act No. 60 of 2000) applicable firearms-related unitary standards; 119649 Handle and use a gun; 119652 Handle and use a shotgun; 119650 Handle and use a self-loading rifle or carbine; 123515 Handling and using a gun for business purposes; 123511 Handle and use a self-loading rifle or carbine for business purposes and 123514 Handle and use a shotgun for business purposes
NB. Candidates will be subject to written tests, interviews, physical aptitude tests as part of the selection criteria. The selection criteria will be executed in terms of the Necsa stock plan, skills development policy and other relevant policies or plans.
