Apprentice firefighter
Requirements:

Grade 12 grade (Math and Physical Science preferred)
18 years or older
You should not be afraid of tight spaces or heights.
Must be in good physical and medical shape
Must be able to work as a team and cope with stressful situations.
No criminal record
Successfully complete Firefighter 1, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, and First Aid Level 3 courses presented by the learning institution

HOW TO APPLY
All shortlisted candidates must take and pass the following mandatory aptitude test

Range test (1.9 m)
2.4 km race (men 11 minutes and women 13 minutes)
Push-ups (30 in 60 seconds)
Sit-ups (30 in 60 seconds)
Dead load transports (2 drums of 25 kg at a distance of 100 m)
NOTE: Candidates who pass the physical test must:

You will be asked to pass a written evaluation and an interview.
You will be required to submit your fingerprints or identity numbers for the purpose of criminal background checks. No other criminal authorizations will be accepted
be required to undergo a city medical evaluation
be required to submit to a mandatory drug test at a city testing site. Special conditions attached to the position:
Non-permanent contract position for the duration of the training
Candidates will only be appointed to a permanent firefighter trainee position after successfully completing the prescribed training.
