Paper:
Assist craftsmen in effective maintenance and breakdowns.
This service is provided to Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology customers.
Key performance areas:
Assist the craftsman with any activity related to service / breakdown
Visual inspection of machines
Clean shop, machine, tools and equipment.
Follow the workshop map
Check wrappers and hoses
Relay messages between operations
Provide feedback to the craftsman on the condition of the machine.
Comply with the SMRT SHEQ management system and the established Objectives and Goals.
Use the right tools
Report dangerous acts and conditions.
Participate in incident / accident investigations.
Technical readings
Work on scheduled and unplanned maintenance and breakdowns
Your profile:
Grade 12 / N3 Technical qualification / Equivalent qualification
Relevant commercial certificate
Relevant trade theory
Computer literacy skills to work with Excel spreadsheets, graphical presentations and charts.
Mastery of English
First aid level 1
Fabrication shop experience
Relevant experience in mechanized mining equipment
Physical and medical ability to function in a workshop / underground environment
Understanding of the need and value of teamwork; ability to work effectively as part of a team.
