WORKSHOP MECHANIC

LEBOMBO ESTATE, KOMATIPOORT

The Umhlatuzi Valley Sugar Company (Pty) Ltd, a leading agricultural organisation, has a vacancy for the above position based at the Lebombo Estate which is situated near Komatipoort, Mpumalanga.

The incumbent of this position will report to the Estate Manager. The successful candidate will be required to repair and maintain a fleet of farm vehicles (including cane loading / haulage vehicles), LDVs and implements together with other members of the workshop team. The ability to operate as part of a team with a broader vision and an aptitude for recognising areas for improvement and maximising efficiencies is essential.

The minimum requirements are:
Diesel mechanic with at least five years relevant experience. The ability to communicate in English and isiZulu / siSwati, and be prepared to work extended hours. Code B drivers licence. Auto electrical and Bell tractor experience will be advantageous.
