Vacancy: Electrical Assistant

Job Description:

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance inspections according to prescriptive schedule.
Repair electrical breakdowns in buildings, packhouse machinery/equipment and cold store facilities.
Assist with planning of and the execution of annual preventative maintenance program.
Disassemble and replace defective electrical equipment or worn parts and reassemble equipment.
Supervision of sub-ordinates
Keep working area and equipment clean and safe.

Qualifications:

Grade 12
N3 Electrical Trade
Knowledge of the mechanical workings of machinery and equipment.
Preferably 3-5 years’ experience within a production facility.
Computer skills (MS Office and more specific Excel (Basic) and Outlook
Good understanding of the OHS Act, regulations and codes
Willingness to work night shift during season, be on standby and work overtime
