Job description
A 12 month program that offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable skills in a supportive environment, on the job and in the classroom.
The challenging and meaningful work you do will help clinicians in rural communities, clinics and hospitals to provide essential healthcare to patients across Africa.
Responsibilities:
Support and involve appropriate senior service personnel in all aspects of valid Philips procedures and policies.
Provide field-based and remote technical support to current FSEs to customers and colleagues.
Learn how to perform corrective, preventive, installation and field change order activities on complex healthcare systems.
Diagnose mechanical, hardware and software system failures using established procedures.
Planning and determining a quick and most cost-effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtime.
Stay informed about new technologies that may affect the Philips product range.
Keeping track of all activities and training for review at any time.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Engineering Sciences in:
electronics /
aviation /
automation /
biomedical).
Luminous flux /
Computer systems completed /
Biomedical Engineering.
You must be a South African graduate and have completed all modules/credits for the above qualification with a minimum of 60%.
Qualifications obtained after -2016 are preferred.
Indicate on your resume whether you have completed Practicum 1 & Practicum 2.
Competencies:
Enthusiastic and willing to perform corrective and preventive work on medical equipment.
Logical problem solver with the ability to work independently.
Able to process knowledge about multimodality and various product ranges.
Able to recognize new technologies and adapt to daily challenges.
