INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 2023/2025
STIPEND: Interns will receive a stipend according to the qualification level obtained:
National Diploma; Bachelor’s/Honours Degree R6360.20 per month
Master R7852.08 per month.
CENTER: Pretoria and Cape Town
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be in possession of the following undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications to apply:
Social Sciences/Sociology, Economics B Com, Industrial Engineer, Research Studies/Public Policy/Development with Research as the main subject,
Degree: Development Studies/Public Administration/Political Studies/
National Diploma: Media Studies / Communications / Public Relations / Creative Writing / Honors / Master’s Degree in Economics, Development Studies / Statistics / Urbanism and Territorial Planning / Diploma / 1st Degree in Communication or Journalism with emphasis on digital communication and networks Social Sciences, National Diploma / Bachelor/ B-Tech/
Honors or Master of Public Administration/Business Administration/Public Management, NQF level 6 in Public Management/Records Management, or any other related Administration qualification/National Diploma/Bachelor of Public Administration/Management or Business Management, NQF level 6 in Risk Management/ Auditing/Internal Auditing/Social Sciences or equivalent degree/ Law/LLB, NQF level 6 in Public Management/Public Administration, or any other Administration related degree/

The Department will request them only when they are preselected. Note to Interns: Internships take place in Pretoria and Cape Town. Candidates must be willing and able to find their own accommodation in Pretoria and Cape Town, keeping in mind that they will not earn a salary but only a stipend.
The program is for unemployed South African graduates/postgraduates under the age of 35, with a tertiary degree in one of the fields of study mentioned in a specific advertisement, who have not previously been employed in any internship programme.
