Job description
As an apprentice you will be trained and have the opportunity to operate production lines of Expanfo products and help monitor and control operation through processes, controls, electrical and electronic information and mechanical technology.
Also to control, monitor and operate the factory and ensure that the product is produced, packed and shipped according to specifications. Provide support for mining services team objectives and business requirements by providing customers with efficient coaching and advice on the application of ENAEX explosives products while improving the customer-supplier relationship.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Explosives Controller with routine troubleshooting, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on the MMU process installation and chassis
Assisting the site administrator with inventory management
Load and unload the MMU with the correct raw materials
Unloading raw materials (emulsion Matrix and Expand tankers)
Seal blast holes with appropriate stock material to above the blast hole collar
Perform the duties of an explosion watch as required
Cleaning and decontamination of MMU.
Identification of any abnormal conditions on the MMU and within the work area and reporting them to the Explosives Controller and/or Site Supervisor
Retain MMU Bulk Explosives property by proper cab, chassis and factory housekeeping.
Requirements:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have completed N3/Grade 12/Matric certification.
Clear criminal record.
Medically fit for duty.
