Graduates Job Description
The Financial Advisory Graduate Program is a two-year, fixed-term contract that will give you the opportunity to rotate between the Transaction Services, Valuations and Modeling, Corporate Finance Advisory, and Restructuring Services business areas.
At the end of this Program you will have achieved the following skills:
A fully integrated and complementary skill set within the corporate finance and M&A service offering, developed through on-the-job learning and technical training.
Ability to analyze large and complex data sets into meaningful information and results (i.e. client-ready reports, deliverables, etc.)
Excellent customer orientation and relationships
Internal networks established throughout the Firm
Has been exposed to respective service areas within Financial Advisory (i.e. rotation)
Responsibilities:
Analyze various sources of quantitative data (AFS, management accounts, etc.) and qualitative data (contracts, agreements, etc.)
Prepare a sound and meaningful financial analysis
Conducting industry research (peer company research, etc.)
Valuation model reviews
Help create basic financial models.
Preparation of client-ready deliverables (concept papers, information memorandums, reports and meeting packages, etc.)
Assist professionals in client development and practice development assignments.
Liaise with teams to ensure participation in the project
Work progress reports to management and clients.
Communication with customers to understand the needs and demands.
Deadline management and reporting
Requirements:
We are looking for someone with one of the following qualifications:
BSc or BCom Accounting (Non-CA) Honors Degree with Financial Accounting 3
BCom Financial Management, Investment Management
Bachelor of Financial Sciences
Skills and competencies:
You will need to demonstrate the following technical and behavioral competencies:
Knowledge and experience in MS Office
Advanced Excel skills are a plus.
Problem solving and analytical skills
Data analysis skills are a plus.
Familiarity with the use of the Internet for data research.
