Introduction
Do you want to work and get a degree at the same time? Are you passionate about healthcare and providing superior patient care? Clicks has an exciting opportunity available to complete an apprenticeship program to qualify as a pharmacist assistant. The position reports to the Pharmacy Manager.
Work description
Learning program:
Successfully complete a National Certificate: Pharmacy Assisting Apprenticeship Program (Basic Pharmacist Assistant Apprentice) and a Certificate of Further Education and Training: Pharmacist Assisting (Basic Pharmacist Assistant Apprentice) through the Health Care Academy of Accredited Pharmacy
A structured learning program consisting of a theoretical and practical component and leading to a qualification that is registered in the National Qualifications Framework (NQF)
As a student in this program, you will be required to meet the following objectives:
Successfully complete apprenticeship training contracts at a registered Clicks pharmacy and with an approved tutor
Attend required training interventions and successfully complete competency assessments
Submit an evidence folder
Provide support to the healthcare team at one of Click’s pharmacies under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and within the legal scope of practice as outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
