Robben Island Museum Graduate Program

The Graduate Program is a two-year program designed to gain skills and experience in the workplace.

The Robben Island Museum (RIM) Graduate Program is a structured work-based internship development program that focuses on taking graduates from various universities and the University of Technologies through a structured plan of work to expand their work experience.

Successful candidates will enter into a two-year internship contract. Graduates will sign a contract with RIM and be placed in the relevant departments within the museum for the duration of the internship.

This program offers opportunities to graduates who have qualified in the following disciplines:
Communication
Internal Control, Risk Management
Supply chain management, Business administration/management, Logistics, Purchasing management
Finance
Research, Office Management x2
Conservation, Environment
Exhibitions, Audiovisuals
Archives, Library Science
Education, Heritage
Human Resources, Industrial Psychology x2
Paramedics x2
Marketing
Customer Service, Public Relations
RIM does not guarantee post-internship employment to graduates participating in the program. All applicants must have completed the University and University of Technology Diploma or Degree.

Applicants must be unemployed graduates willing and available for 24 months of post-graduation work experience at RIM. RIM is an EE and AA employer. RIM reserves the right not to make an appointment if no suitable candidates are found.
