Work description
The digital media strategist and planner will be responsible for ensuring the success of digital media planning and purchasing within Incubeta. The main objective of this role is to help clients build their brands and generate leads through the most effective platforms / channels. This is accomplished by developing well-formulated and in-depth media strategies and media plans based on our clients’ business goals.

The ideal media strategist has a good operational understanding of all media channels and how a media strategy is articulated. They have implemented campaigns on platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, and DV360 and they understand how campaigns are implemented. Great communication skills are a key requirement when working in contact with various teams / departments, clients and negotiating with editors.

Place within the organization
Reports to the Head of Media Strategy and Planning in the Global Operations Team.
Works internally with Media Managers, Media Consultants, Commercial Team and externally with clients and publishers.

tasks and responsibilities

Develop the digital media strategy and media plans as part of the media strategy and planning team, including but not limited to:
Drive best practices in media planning and buying guidelines, KPIs, and standardized reports.
Provide strategic research that includes market insights and / or information on the media landscape, channel mix recommendations and markets.
Develop and present digital media strategies that maximize ROI on media investments for Incubeta clients.
Make sure the budget for working media is optimized efficiently and effectively, ensuring timely delivery of campaigns against budget.
Foster relationships with publishers (media owners)
Manage media planning and purchasing negotiations and agreements between local Publishers (media owners) and Incubeta maximizing media investments for Incubeta clients.
Products and offers from the home publisher that are relevant and pertinent to the time of year and / or the specifications of the offering.
Work closely with the client’s lead consultant to effectively deliver the client’s proposals, solutions, and roadmaps to achieve goals.
Collaborate with operational teams to promote organizational collaboration among all Incubeta business functions and bring service delivery to the forefront of Incubeta’s offering.
Financial management of media reserves and performance on behalf of Incubeta clients. Property to fulfill the reservation against the objectives / forecast of the clients’ media plans.
Drive the creation and delivery of solutions that are based on current company offerings by adopting innovative and collaborative thinking.
Drive compliance and proactively make improvements to Incubeta’s digital media strategy and planning processes, policies, and procedures.
Own implementation of best practices and presentation of the trends of the digital media strategy to the team in general.
Stay on top of competition / communication activity for new markets.
Foster relationships within Incubeta to strengthen relationships with other departments.
Knowledge and experience

Imperative skills:
Minimum of four years experience in a media planning and strategy position
Expert understanding of the digital agency and performance marketing landscape, its challenges and opportunities
Experience in both planning and buying media along with a strong digital foundation is a requirement, with the ability to stay ahead of the ever-evolving media landscape.
Solid knowledge of all digital marketing channels, advertising technologies and cross-media solutions.
Passionate about (advertising) technology and how technology can shape the industry and the online advertising ecosystem for the benefit of our clients.
Great knowledge and practical experience in Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter Ads Manager and premium publishers / other media networks.
Functional understanding of the use and implementation of one of the main digital marketing solutions / tools: Google Marketing Platform, which includes Campaign Manager, DV360, SA360, Google Analytics.
Good technical communicator: be able to turn complexity into simplicity.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to understand the client’s key business and marketing challenges and translate this into how you can achieve these goals by working with media buyers, media consultants, and publishers.
