Programme Overview:
This 12-month structured learnership provides a unique opportunity to gain both practical work experience and theoretical knowledge in the long-term insurance industry. Participants will work closely with experienced professionals in a supportive environment, where learning and development are top priorities.
What the Learnership Offers:
- A comprehensive learning experience in both Sales and Administrative functions within the long-term insurance space.
- Structured classroom-based theoretical training aligned with industry standards.
- Mentorship and on-the-job coaching to support your professional development.
- A monthly stipend of R5,000 for the duration of the 12-month programme.
- A nationally recognised Full Qualification in Long-Term Insurance (NQF Level 4) upon successful completion of the programme.
Key Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes:
During the course of the learnership, participants will gain exposure to various tasks and areas of the insurance business, including:
- Conducting basic research and applying numeracy and literacy skills to interpret data and evaluate risk within the long-term insurance sector.
- Understanding and managing personal finances, including principles of budgeting, saving, and identifying financial risk.
- Gaining insight into ethical and legal compliance within the insurance environment and applying this knowledge in real-world scenarios.
- Building knowledge of customer service excellence and sales processes within a financial services context.
- Developing a deeper understanding of long-term insurance products, services, and customer needs.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completed Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and/or Accounting.
- Currently unemployed and not involved in any other form of employment.
- Not enrolled in any other academic or training programme at the time of application.
- Willing and available to commence the learnership on 1 September 2025.
- South African citizen from a designated or previously disadvantaged group, as per the Employment Equity Act.
