Description of the practices

The Eastern Cape Automotive Industry Development Center (AIDC-EC) invites applications from suitably qualified and unemployed candidates to apply for the Internship Program 2022/2023.

The following internship opportunities are open for applications:

Management and administration of companies

Requirements:

3-year degree/diploma in:
Business Administration/Management
Responsibilities:

Coordinate information for the preparation of reports (Daily).
Maintain and update all asset records, escalate and close all asset defects as needed, document all continuous improvement initiatives, and promote staff awareness of all procedural requirements.
Provide support to relevant stakeholders through preparing and ensuring all documentation is received and finalized, communicating effectively, and maintaining strong business relationships with other internal stakeholders.
Assist the Secretary of the Company with administrative tasks.
Information and communications technology

Requirements:

3-year NQF6 rating on:
Computer Studies /
Information systems /
Technology /
Electronics)
BTech for above formal qualification will be a plus
Responsibilities:

Assist with asset management tracking and transfers.
Assist with equipment repairs and maintenance in accordance with AIDC-EC technical and operational standards.
Comply with AIDC-EC service delivery standards.
Sending of ad-hoc reports of breakdown incidents with findings and repairs.
Response time to match the urgency of technical assistance according to delivery requirements. Efficient technical support to users in order to reduce downtime.
Proper configuration and testing of digital equipment to ensure there are no technical failures.
Ensure functional, agile and reliable digital systems.
Marketing and Communications

Requirements:

3-year degree/diploma in:
Brand Management/Marketing.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting with all web, advertising and print related projects including but not limited to side projects to completion from concept and design to production/implementation.
Execute all projects related to digital, online, advertising and print media from inception to approval.
Record the job numbers related to the design and keep the time of work done for each job.
Determine the size and layout of illustrative material and copy, and select the font style and size for the website, intranet, social media, and other web platforms/channels.
Web Content Management to ensure all online digital media has cohesive brand consistency in line with the AIDC-EC CI manual.
Actively manage the optimization of website and intranet content, including social media and mobile applications.
Skills and competencies:

Proficiency in MS Office, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Detail oriented and self motivated.
Expert in organizing and prioritizing
Adapt to any situation and work well under pressure
