Description of the internship

The City of Johannesburg Group Governance Department (CoJ) has the following Chartered Accountant Training Program opportunity available for a period of three (3) years.

The learner will be developed to be able to use integrated thinking to interpret, analyze and evaluate financial and non-financial information. This will help learners influence others and support impactful decision-making, thereby making a significant contribution to the city, economy and society.

During the training period, trainees will develop into leaders who behave ethically and create sustainable value for a wide range of stakeholders within the city. They will be rotated between different departments and municipal entities to obtain a wide range of skills and competencies required by SAICA.

Requirements:

Grade 12 (NQF 4) plus a Certificate in Accounting Theory (CTA) from a SAICA-accredited University;
0 – 1 years of experience;
Preference will be given to residents of Johannesburg.
Qualify to write the ITC exam.
