The Associate Internship Programme is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity that offers graduates and early-career professionals the chance to gain real-world experience in their chosen field. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to real business challenges and learning through both structured training and practical involvement in day-to-day operations.

What to Expect from the Internship

Selected interns will be placed in relevant departments based on their field of study and Cell C’s business needs. Interns will not only observe but actively participate in key business activities. The programme is designed to develop critical skills, promote professional growth, and provide exposure to corporate culture and expectations.

Intern Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting departmental operations through project participation, administrative tasks, and day-to-day functions.
• Conducting research, compiling reports, and contributing insights to assist in decision-making processes.
• Collaborating with team members to identify and implement practical business solutions.
• Attending training sessions, team meetings, and cross-functional workshops.
• Maintaining a personal development log to track learning outcomes, project milestones, and growth objectives.
• Upholding the values of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this internship programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen (or meet Cell C’s internal eligibility requirements).
• Hold or be completing a relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma, Degree, or equivalent Certification).
• Have 6 to 11 months of relevant work experience, which may include prior internships, part-time roles, or volunteer work.
• Be between the ages of 18 and 35 at the time of application.
• Be available to commit to the full duration of the internship.

1. Information Technology & Cyber Security
   • Degrees: BSc in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or Information Systems; BEng in Software or Computer Engineering
   • Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH
2. Forensics Investigation
   • Degrees: BCom in Forensic Auditing, Forensic Science, Criminal or Commercial Law
   • Preferred: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
3. Networks
   • Degrees: BEng/BTech in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering; BSc in Networking or Computer Systems
   • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP
4. Procurement
   • Degrees: BCom in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Logistics
   • Certifications: CIPS or equivalent qualifications
5. Strategy & Business Transformation
   • Degrees: BCom in Strategic Management, BEng, Economics
   • Additional Knowledge: Systems Thinking, Innovation, Data Science
6. Customer Value Management
   • Degrees: BCom in Marketing, Business Science, or Data Analytics; BSc in Mathematics, Data Science, or Statistics
   • Useful Skills: SQL, Power BI, Python, CRM systems
7. Psychometry
   • Qualifications: BPsych or BPsych Equivalent (HPCSA-registered)
   • Advanced Study: Master’s in Psychology or Industrial Psychology
8. Finance
   • Degrees: BCom in Accounting, Finance, or Management Accounting
   • Tracks: Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)), CIMA
   • Additional: Postgraduate qualifications in Taxation or Financial Reporting
9. Risk, Compliance & Business Continuity
   • Degrees: Risk Management, Internal Auditing, Law, Disaster Management, or related fields
