About the Learnership Programme: Learner – PPB Universal Banker
The Standard Bank Learnership Programme offers an exceptional opportunity for young, ambitious individuals to gain entry into the dynamic world of banking. This programme is designed to provide comprehensive training and practical experience across various banking functions within the Personal and Private Banking (PPB) segment.
Participants will undergo a structured learning journey that includes both theoretical education and hands-on work experience. The goal is to develop well-rounded Universal Bankers who are fully equipped to deliver excellent client service while adhering to the bank’s policies, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
As a learner in this programme, you will engage directly with clients and assist them with day-to-day banking services such as opening accounts, managing statements, handling debit order queries, and providing tailored financial guidance. The programme will also enhance your knowledge of banking products, risk and fraud management, and digital service delivery.
This learnership not only provides practical workplace experience but also includes an accredited occupational qualification in Banking. This qualification aligns with FAIS regulatory requirements and provides a solid foundation for a long-term career in financial services.
Key Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes

Minimum Entry Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
