AgriSETA invites young South Africans to apply for its structured 24-month Learning Programme. Programmes Covered Under AgriSETA’s Learning Pathways

Applications for all of the above programmes are accepted annually between August 1st and September 15th. Be sure to apply during this period to be considered.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the 24-month AgriSETA Learning Programme, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Possess a valid high school certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent).
- Be between the ages of 18 and 40 years.
- Be a South African citizen with valid identification.
What Are Skills Programmes?
Skills programmes are short, focused training courses designed to equip individuals with the specific competencies required for particular roles within the agriculture sector. These programmes may be standalone or part of a larger qualification pathway. Participants can accumulate credits through these skill-based modules, which can eventually lead to full certification.

Understanding Learnerships
A Learnership is a structured learning process that blends theoretical instruction with practical, on-the-job training. The aim is to equip learners with both the academic knowledge and real-world experience needed to function effectively in their chosen occupation.
During a Learnership, learners are formally employed by a participating organization, allowing them to earn a stipend while they study and work. Upon successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognized qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

To apply for any of the learning opportunities offered under the AgriSETA programme:
- Visit the official AgriSETA website or contact an AgriSETA-approved training provider.
- Complete the required application forms.
- Submit your application along with the necessary supporting documents (e.g. certified ID copy, qualifications, CV).
