About the Sanlam Learnership Programme

The Sanlam Learnership is an entry-level transformation initiative aimed at developing a sustainable talent pipeline to address the current skills shortage within the financial services sector. This programme is perfect for motivated individuals who want to build a meaningful and rewarding career in insurance and related fields. You will receive accredited training at NQF Level 4 and hands-on practical experience within a reputable company committed to your growth and development.

Throughout the 12-month contract, learners will be supported by industry experts and given real-world work exposure that will prepare them for a successful career with Sanlam or other organizations within the sector.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for enthusiastic South African citizens who meet the following criteria:

• Must have a Grade 12 certificate.
• A minimum pass mark of 50% in English and a second language.
• A minimum pass mark of 40% in Mathematics OR at least 60% in Mathematics Literacy.
• Applicants must be unemployed and between the ages of 18 and 28.
• Applicants must not currently be studying with any other institution while on the learnership.
• Applicants should not have participated in a Short-Term Insurance Learnership through INSETA before.
• Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must provide a medical note confirming the nature of the disability.
• Applicants must have no more than 1 year of prior work experience.

Who is Not Eligible?

• Individuals with any post-matric qualifications (such as a Higher Certificate, National Diploma, Degree, Honours, etc.).
• Individuals currently studying towards any post-matric qualification.
• Candidates with more than 1 year of work experience.
