The Gauteng Department of Education is looking to recruit unemployed youth as COVID-19 assessors in schools, district offices, central offices, and teacher centers.
Evaluators will receive a stipend of R3 500 per month. The fixed-term contract will be from July 26 to December 31, 2021.
REQUIREMENTS
• Age between 18 and 34 years
• Does not work or study
• Minimum 12th grade school grade
• Good organizational skills
• Flexibility and creativity
• Enjoy working with children and young adults
• Patience, confidence and compassionate attitude
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to manage groups of students and deal with challenging behaviors
• Ability to communicate in English and another official language
• Only Gauteng residents can apply
• Applicants must live within walking distance of the school where they apply.
HOMEWORK
• Ensure compliance with the COVID-19 standard
• Operating procedures
• Monitor social distancing among schoolchildren at all times.
• Take and record temperature and vital signs.
• Disinfect all students, educators, and visitors
• Report suspected cases to the corresponding school’s COVID-19 Champion
• Collect weekly and monthly reports
