Supervisor
Location: Durban South
Educational Qualifications :
• Enroll with HG Pass in English and minimum pass of 50% for literary mathematics
• A tertiary qualification in quality or equivalent would be advantageous
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• The ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken word)
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Establish priorities and ensure maximum use of allocated resources
• Develop monthly reports showing inspection performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate and recommend alternative procedures for continuous improvement.
• Identify root cause problems and suggest corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Monitor and review corrective solutions and prevent action claims.
• Support production leaders and operators for interpretation and methods following established standards
• Hold regular meetings with quality controllers to help ensure consistency in teamwork.
• Engaging in team-driven actions to aid improvements
• Interpret and support quality policies and implement guidelines to ensure compliance with quality standards and documents.
• Interpret the quality control system to the people within the organization.
• Develop new methods to solve problems that occur during quality assurance activities.
• Standard simulation procedure
• Management of non-conformities
• Rejection / management of stock on hold
• Quality floor controls
• Withholding checks: all withholdings are verified monthly and are updated according to the assigned ranges
• New packaging project
• Management of samples of new lines
• Ordering consumables
• Cleaning of laboratories and holding rooms
• Supervision of quality controllers (at 3 sites)
