Our North Johannesburg based client is looking for a stock controller in the metal / steel industry.

Minimum requirements: Full inventory function Imports: Sourcing prices from different suppliers
Placing orders with steel mills Costing imported goods Correspondence with clearing agents Capturing invoices for imported stock and invoices for additional expenses

Pastel expertise is essential
Job Cards – Plan processing jobs for customer orders, stock, and customer’s own material
Liaise with sales staff (on-site and off-site) regarding stock requirements
Capture of inventory journals and stock movement

Stock control: maintaining required stock levels in fast moving items
Liaise with the factory manager to optimize stock production

Logistics: schedule deliveries
Plan the goods to be loaded into a truck for each day Inside Sales: Correspondence with customers on stock requirements per month Billing
