REQUIREMENTS: Grade 10 with experience from 0 to 2 years or Grade 12 without experience. A
PSIRA Grade C Certificate. Must be registered with PSIRA. Knowledge of
Law of Control of Firearms, Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles
Law, PSIRA Law, Law of intrusion. Knowledge in dealing with the public.
Ability to communicate well with people at different levels and from
different backgrounds. High level of reliability. Ability to handle confidential
information. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to act
with tact and discretion. Good telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work under pressure, take initiative, work independently
and with a team. Report writing skills. Ability to organize and plan. Should
be self-motivated. Be prepared to rotate and work shifts that
includes, weekends and holidays. I shouldn’t have a criminal
Record. Experience in a firearm safety and competition environment

DUTIES: Protect state property, employees, visitors, and patients in the hospital during
24 hours. Access control and search for both vehicles and pedestrians.
Notification of security breaches. Operate and maintain safety equipment.
Escort patients, visitors, and contractors. Report breaches and defects.
Write statements and testify in court. Escort Finance staff inside
hospital facilities. Turn lights on and off in your area of ​​responsibility.
Write and submit reports to your supervisor as soon as possible. Assist with
queue management; help restrain patients, perform
hourly patrols, access control and registration of vehicles and people.
Traffic control in the facilities. Operate and maintain safety equipment.
Securing improperly parked vehicles, providing instructions to patients and
visitors. Comply with the safety dress code at all times. Implementation of
security policies and procedures. Stick to the deadlines. Perform another
