Scholarship opportunity for students at TETA
The Transportation Education Training Authority (TETA) offers x200 scholarships and invites qualified unemployed students to apply for scholarships or funds for the 2022 academic year.
As part of its skills development initiatives, the Transportation Education Training Authority awards scholarships annually for studies aligned with the critical and scarce skills identified in the transportation sector skills plan.
Scholarships are classified according to sector requirements, with due consideration of the National Capacity Development Plan – 2030, compiled by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
Students eligible for scholarships:
Currently in grade 12 or has completed enrollment with the intention of studying any of the qualifications listed below in 2022
Students currently enrolled in higher education institutions (including TVET universities) and require funding for the academic year 2022
Aviation students with valid PPL / CPL
Commercial registered divers (Senior Certificate).
Applications must be for accredited aviation schools, accredited diving schools, and registered TVET and HEI. Only online applications will be accepted.

HOW TO APPLY
The scholarship will cover tuition, on-campus and off-campus accommodation, transportation, books, and meals based on TETA’s scholarship policy and funding model.
The scholarship award is aimed at previously disadvantaged and impoverished youth from rural and urban communities in South Africa and people with disabilities.

Grades:
• Funding will only be considered for applicants requesting the grades in the list provided above and for studies leading to a full academic grade.
• Applicants must complete all fields on the online application form, ie, course of study, duration of study, cost per year, and current year of study
• All required documents “MUST” be uploaded
• Applicants “MUST” request a rating from the list provided.
Note: Correspondence will only be entered with selected applicants. If you have not received any further correspondence from TETA before January 30, 2022, please consider that your request was not successful.
