Description of the practices
Purpose
This is a 12-month contract for unemployed graduates to join our FirstJob internship program. The objective of this program is to improve the employability of the selected candidates.
Throughout the programme, the incumbent will have the opportunity to build confidence and competence in the workplace by contributing to business objectives and results. The incumbent must successfully complete the prescribed development program.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate excellence and quality orientation in all assigned tasks, deliverables and projects.
Execute role responsibilities efficiently through careful and timely planning, reporting, and updates.
Contribute to projects through proactive, innovative and appropriate inputs.
Engage in knowledge sharing with your peers and stakeholders.
Manage the development plan itself to increase skills and abilities through various channels.
Attend and fulfill all the requirements of the FirstJob Development Program with relevant training institutions.
Adheres to and upholds the shared values and business philosophy of FirstRand.
Minimum requirements:
Must be between 18 and 34 years old
Obtained a relevant post-matric qualification
You must have been unemployed for at least the last 6 months.
Must have no work experience, this must be the youth’s FIRST work experience
The youth must also not have previously participated in the FirstJob program at any of the FirstRand franchisees, and have not previously worked for FirstRand.
Required Qualification:
Any recognized Diploma/Degree
Your score will be compared to the business unit requirements in FirstRand
No formal (corporate) work experience required
