QUALITY & COMPLIANCE MANAGER CITRUS ROBERTSON
Job Purpose: Maintain and improve all quality, compliance, health and safety, environmental and ethical systems within the packing station.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
• Quality management and reporting by analyzing all information from growers, packing stations and market arrival feedback.
• Monitor Packhouse compliance and ongoing updates to new regulations and assessments.
• Taking care of all communication with growers and exporters regarding quality issues.
• Supervise the quality team with regard to day-to-day operations, testing procedures and communication.
• Reporting, administration & analysis of quality related documentation
• Improvements and updates to the compliance system based on business changes and regulatory changes.
• Audit preparation, coordination and clearance of non-conformities for Certification.
• Customer Total Quality & Compliance Management
• Conduct internal audits to determine level and compliance
• Facilitates risk assessments and meetings
• Compliance-related communication
• Monitoring health and safety
• Ongoing staff training and development
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12
• Internal auditor qualification and experience
• Global Standard for Food Safety, BRC and Global Gap experience or certification
• Citrus QA experience
COMPETENCES AND SKILLS
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and numerical skills are crucial
• Excellent knowledge and computer skills (MS Office)
• Effective processing of detailed information and consistent attention to detail
• Must be a team player
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
