REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification. Registration with HPCSA as dental
Assistant and proof of valid registration. Profile of the person: Excellent time
management, organizational skills, communication skills. Capacity for teamwork
and under pressure, self-motivated and goal-oriented. Analytics and solution
oriented. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the
multidisciplinary team and other stakeholders. Experience with 125 Orthodontics
procedures and computer literacy will be added benefits. Four (4) years “
experience in dental care.
DUTIES: Provision of satisfactory services to the client. Assist Physicians During Oral Procedures
and outreach projects. Preparation of dental equipment, dental instruments and
dental materials for dental procedures for students and teachers. Practice and
maintain infection control standards. Collect department statistics in the
facilities. Order consumables as needed by the Department. Manage of
the patient’s appointment and perform administrative tasks. Rotate in the other
Departments and sign a Performance Contract annually. Active participation in
activities and training of students.
