Qualifications / Requirements
Matric or equivalent
Relevant logistics / transportation rating
Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations in a fleet / transport company of which 2 years must be in a management position
Strong person who can function well under pressure, be a good team player, and work independently
Very advantageous sales experience
Good knowledge of the fleet
Manage work efficiently and effectively
Key performance areas:
Manage the fuel consumption of the vehicles in the fleet
Monitor the performance of fleet personnel and compliance with procedures
Fleet cost control
Assess the integrity of the cargo and associated risks.
Total use of vehicles at all times, control, maintenance and monitoring
Investigation of accidents and incidents
Assess the integrity of the associated risks
Fleet management
Sales:
Get new business
Obtain and follow up on leads
Build strong relationships with customers
Ensure full use of fleet vehicles
Customer relationship management:
Develop a strong relationship with customers.
Ensure open communications with customers at all times
