Child Welfare Durban and District is the largest child protection organization in the southern hemisphere providing child protection services to most of Durban.

The organization has a vacancy for a designated human resources officer for our main office based in Greyville

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to handle a variety of staff related administrative tasks. Their role is to act as a liaison between employees and outsource to the human resources officer to ensure smooth communication and prompt resolution of all inquiries. You will also support our day-to-day HR activities and help coordinate relevant HR policies, processes and documents.

An ideal candidate for the position of human resources administrator has an academic background in human resources. Familiarity with our organization and the NGO sector is also an added bonus. For this position, you should be able to work freelance and assist with more complex HR tasks such as posting job postings, coordinating interviews, checking references, collecting and submitting DSD grants, and contacting candidates.
Ultimately, you must be able to ensure that our human resources department is organized and operating to attract, hire and retain our employees.

Requirements for this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Proven experience as a human resources officer, personal assistant, or relevant human resources / administrative position
PC Literacy (MS Office, in particular)
Hands-on experience with HRIS or HRMS
Familiarity with labor market trends
Basic knowledge of labor laws.
Excellent organizational skills
Strong communication skills fluent in English and Zulu
Diploma / Degree in Human Resources
