Description of learning

LEARNERSHIP PROGRAM 2022/23: TRAFFIC OFFICERS BASIC DIPLOMA (REF. No: DCSSL/TM/LP/2022)

The Department of Community Safety, Protection and Liaison invites applications for a Traffic Officers Diploma Learnership program that seeks to train unemployed youth with knowledge and skills in traffic law enforcement. Preference will be given to people from previously disadvantaged communities.

Successful candidates are expected to enter into a 12 month contract with the Department and upon completion; students will receive a Basic Traffic Officers Diploma: NQF 4. DCSSL will verify all qualifications and Driver’s License of each applicant.

Requirements:

12th grade certificate
At least a code B driving license
South African citizen
no criminal record
Applicants must be 18 years of age and not more than 35 years of age.
Fit and proper.
NB: Traffic training will take place at the Mpumalanga Traffic Training School in Mkhuhlu (Calcutta) in the local township of Bushbuckridge. The Department will conduct criminal background checks.
