Overview
The purpose of the position is to implement projects, tasks and activities of the local / municipal election office in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the IEC and the budgets of the regional office. This position reports to the Regional Assistant Manager.
Responsibilities / Duties

Administration of local projects: Develop, implement and monitor, in collaboration with the Regional Assistant Manager, the annual tasks and the standardized activity framework and controls that support the implementation plans of the regional office to achieve the established goals and objectives ● Ensure a culture in the workplace that promotes ethical practices, compliance with the Code of Conduct and integrity ● Develop, communicate and implement effective performance work plans to achieve established performance objectives and goals ● Supervision of expansion and election staff to comply with production targets during peak period ● Provide accurate and comprehensive reports in a timely manner on projects, tasks, and activities ● Manage relationships with local stakeholders ● Handle project-related correspondence ● Keep minutes of meetings and attend meetings, workshops and s training sessions.

Local Corporate Support Services: Assist in the recruitment and training of election staff at the local level ● Make logistical arrangements in support of training of election staff ● Conduct training at the local level ● Identify and receive facilities management and office support services (security, leasing, cleaning, transportation / travel, telecommunications, etc.) ● Provide basic information related to budget processes. ● Get quotes and generate sourcing requests locally through SAP. ● Inform successful suppliers and fill them with orders. ● Receive the goods purchased and respond to financial inquiries.

Local Electoral Operations: Implementation and Coordination of Polling Station Delimitation ● Conducting Polling Station Surveys and Identification of Potential Polling Station Locations ● Conducting Voter Registration ● Coordination of by-elections and related activities ● Coordination and arrangement of local PLC meetings, taking and uploading of minutes on the relevant system ● Coordination of storage facilities, logistics, infrastructure and related tasks in support of electoral events ● Carrying out education, training and civic and electoral outreach activities, as well as other tasks related to elections ● Coordinate activities to carry out national, provincial, and local government elections, vote counting and processing of results ● Coordinate activities for liaison with political parties, administration of candidate nominations and replacement of proportional representation (PR) lists.

Local services: Coordination and support of local civic and democratic education projects, tasks and activities. ● Facilitate conflict management services and solutions for effective stakeholder engagement.

General office administration: Answering phones ● Answering inquiries from the public ● File documentation ● Write correspondence, reports and minutes ● Organize meetings and workshops ● Make copies ● Fax ● Capture date in relevant IEC systems ● Organize document dispatch.

Requirements
The successful candidate must be in possession of a three-year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant work experience ● Knowledge and understanding of the relevant Labor Relations Law, policy and legislation ● Knowledge of legislation and regulations management skills ● Good governance Skills ● Knowledge of operational protocols ● Excellent office and general management skills ● Good verbal and written communication skills ● Good financial, analytical, planning and stakeholder organization skills ● Good knowledge of IT ● People management and interpersonal skills ● Results and quality approach ● Project management experience will be advantageous ● A valid driver’s license and you must be prepared to travel extensively in the corresponding municipality.
