An apprenticeship is defined as a work-based path to learning and earning qualifications. It includes both structured work experience and structured theory learning.

Apprenticeships offer a delivery method where education and training can better meet the needs of employers, learners, and the social and economic needs of South Africa.

Some of the labor market issues that apprenticeships seek to address are:

The decline in employment levels in South Africa;
Unequal access to education, training and employment opportunities;

The skills shortage in the workplace among those entering the workforce.
We offer various apprenticeships in different streams.

What is RPL:

Recognition of prior learning is the recognition of skills and knowledge gained through learning achieved outside of the formal education and training system and includes work and life experience, as well as paid and voluntary work.

RPL recognizes any prior knowledge and experience and compares it to the results of the exit level of the qualification in which the candidates are enrolled.

The candidate may not need to complete an entire training program if they already possess some of the competencies taught in the program and meet the minimum entry requirements.
