The South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP) is the leading independent provider of psychology education, counseling and coaching, offering accredited undergraduate and graduate degrees.

SACAP is seeking a Junior Academic Program Developer (JAPD) for the College of Applied Psychology. The Developer of the Junior Academic Program is part of the Institutional Academic Team and is responsible to the Developer of the Academic Program of the respective Faculty for the amendment and development of modules and related activities in the academic programs, including grades, short courses and micro-credentials, to ensure that they continually incorporate high levels of academic quality and rigor. The Junior Academic Program Developer will report to the Faculty Academic Program Developer.

Responsibilities
Compliance with the module development, review and amendment schedule. This includes all modules that run in the Faculty’s programs, including short courses and micro credentials.
Responsible for ensuring the quality and adequacy of formative and summative evaluations, in modules located in academic programs, short courses and micro-credentials.
Assumes responsibility for obtaining relevant textbooks and resources, where appropriate, that complement programs and modules.
Obtain and compile a list of relevant e-books for modules and programs.
Take responsibility for the implementation of SACAP’s copyright compliance strategy in SACAP programs.
Actively participates in research projects related to the Faculty.
Actively participates in teaching, learning, and scholarship.
Qualifications and experience
Ideally, you have a master’s degree in psychology or another relevant field.
Relevant work experience in the development of modules / curricula.

The JAPD role will directly support the role and function of the Faculty Academic Program Developer and the Faculty Head: Applied Psychology.

Operating hours

This is a full-time position that operates Monday through Friday *:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
