The National Council for the Arts of South Africa seeks to attract a dynamic, passionate, innovative, creative thinker with a background in systems development and analysis.

KEY OUTPUTS:

The candidate will report directly to the IT Manager and will be responsible for the following:

Identify, define, develop and document business requirements.
Develop functional specifications, business cases, technical design specifications, and database design.
Design / improve business process maps.
Update / maintain system configuration and training document / guide.
Develop test packages and test plans.
Prepare test scripts. Maintain business architecture information models.
Maintain data architecture models and technology architecture models.
Coordinate and facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
Develop a resource allocation plan for solutions and user manuals.
Development and maintenance of websites and intranet.
Actively participate in systems development and also liaise with developers and users to ensure business and technical requirements are met.
Investigate and identify possible solutions.
Perform user system assessments and training.

REQUIREMENTS:

A recognized national three-year degree / diploma in information technology (IT) or a relevant equivalent qualification.
A track record of no less than 5 years in the ICT industry.
Extensive relevant experience in the ICT industry with specialization in systems design and analysis of which two years must be in a supervisory role.
Project management, change management, knowledge management, service delivery innovation (SDI), problem solving and analysis, people management and empowerment, and customer orientation and customer focus skills.
Strong organization and planning, good communication, analysis, stakeholder relationships, and presentation skills.
High level of computer literacy
Knowledge of business requirements and process studies, IT support services, ICT management legislative frameworks and information systems.
Coding experience in C # and .NET
The ability to implement internal systems and controls to ensure organizational effectiveness.
Ability to use technology to drive key results
Working knowledge of Microsoft platforms such as Office 365, SharePoint, server technologies, Microsoft dynamics, and databases.
