Higher Education and Training The Health Wellness and Development Center is an implementing agency of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) regarding the health, wellness, and development of students and staff at 26 public universities and 50 technical and vocational education and training. (TVET) universities, with about 400 campuses across the country. The Center for Health, Wellness and Higher Education and Training Development invites applications for the position of IT Administrator at Centurion. This role will be consulting.
Job Summary
The primary role of the IT administrator is to oversee and maintain all aspects of the company’s IT infrastructure. This includes the maintenance of networks, servers, security programs and systems, printers and telephony. The IT administrator manages the update and installation of new hardware and software, performs troubleshooting to address any problems with the computer systems, and assesses viruses, malware, etc., and potential threats to the company network.
Requirements
Bachelor and / or Diploma in Information Technology;
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification);
A minimum of 5 years of IT-related experience is required;
Knowledge and experience in firewall management;
Knowledge of the cloud;
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 environments;
Knowledge of servers, WAN, SLA and SDLC;
Knowledge of SharePoint;
Knowledge MDM (Mobile Device Management);
Experience as an IT support technician and direct support to end users, both face-to-face and remotely;
Advanced knowledge of networks;
It requires the ability to prioritize, be attentive to detail, maintain confidentiality, and provide exceptional service;
Complete knowledge of Windows and Apple operating systems;
Experience mobile device setup and troubleshooting, especially those on Android and iOS platforms.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the regular maintenance of the network, users and resources within the company;
Supervise daily on-site and remote technical support;
Update network applications as needed;
Maintain hardware and software;
Analyze problems, troubleshoot complex network problems, and monitor the IT environment;
Responsible for servers and systems on site and remote sites;
Maintain and monitor IT equipment delivered to staff;
Track routine systems and benchmark performance;
Monitor and remove viruses, spyware, and other unauthorized software;
Perform security-related operational tasks to ensure that quality control procedures are implemented and maintained;
Implement a help desk system for efficient assistance in IT-related inquiries and open ticket resolution;
Make sure all licenses are current and up-to-date;
Technical support in development, optimization and maintenance of digital electronic platforms for monitoring programs that support the implementation of HIGHER HEALTH
