Education grant opportunity at MMEG
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Be a self-identifying woman and at least 25 years old by the application deadline;
Be a citizen of one of the countries included in the MMEG Country Eligibility List (except for the Trinity Washington University program);
Be enrolled (not just accepted) in an accredited academic institution when submitting the application; and plan to be enrolled for a full academic term after the grant is awarded by the Board;
Not be related to a staff member or spouse of the World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, or Inter-American Development Bank;
HOW TO APPLY
Applications for the Africa program are from May 15 to September 14 of each year.

The results are announced in mid-December.
In addition to the above criteria, an applicant must:
Already enrolled part-time (minimum of 2 courses per semester or quarter) or full-time at one of the universities listed below:
University of the Witwatersrand
University of Cape Town
Stellenbosch University
University of Pretoria
Free State University
be enrolled for at least one more academic period (the period between January and July 2022)
Applicants from eligible countries other than South Africa must have a study permit for South Africa.
Applicants must be born before September 15, 1996 to be eligible.
Estimated expenses must be calculated and expressed in Rand.
Remember to read the application checklist and FAQs before applying and select “South Africa” in the first question of the application. If the name of the program does not appear, the program may be closed for new applications.
