Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand has an opportunity available for an Internal Communications graduate.
The main objective of this role will be to contribute to the development of internal communication for Dis-Chem employees.
Support the delivery of creative communication concepts and organizational culture projects to drive engagement.
Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of internal communication plans and ensure timely delivery of all assigned projects
Assist with copywriting such as content development and design for internal communication ie employee newsletter, HR communication.
Provide information on stakeholder requirements such as company announcements, meeting presentations, multimedia, key messages, talking points for distribution.
Conduct research to deliver key messages to effectively drive positive engagement with the project.
Propose and conceptualize creative ideas to ensure company messages are progressive and innovative.
Help create content and coordinate activities with the internal graphics department.
Contribute to the identification and maintenance of all communication platforms.
Ensure quality control and approval of all communication material prior to delivery.
Assist with the maintenance of all internal communications templates and information.
Adhere to the timeframes outlined for all standard monthly initiatives, i.e. Health Days, Religious and Observance Days
Help the CI and Culture team to conceptualize, plan and launch projects and events.
Assist with the implementation of tactics to increase engagement with stakeholders across various communication platforms.
Participate and attend company events to compile content for internal distribution.
Help with the communication and integration of the Dis-Chem Culture within the organization.
Support in delivering employee wellness initiatives and projects
Foster a positive working relationship with all stakeholders in internal communications
Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure understanding of goals and contribute to key projects with the Culture and CI departments
Drive timely submission and review of all reports to and from the internal graphics department
Maintain constant communication with key stakeholders (internal and external) and work closely with the project team
Assist with OD consolidation and reporting
Collaborate with the OD team to ensure all administrative requirements are met and all test documents are kept secure and track changes.
Participate in various OD projects as needed to execute HR deliverables.
Help drive changes to on-demand recruiting platforms.
Minimum requirements:
Grade 12 / Enrollment or Senior Certificate
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and/or equivalent
0 – 1 year of internal communications experience
Competencies:
Knowledge of all relevant legislation.
Find solutions to potential problems and know when to escalate the problem and to what level to escalate it.
Convey ideas and facts in writing using language that the reader will understand better.
Promotes cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverables. Interact with people effectively. Able and willing to share and receive information.
