OBJECT OF THE WORK

Assign and direct all the work carried out in the branch and supervise all areas of operation. Manage staff, suppliers and assets, foster a positive environment and ensure stakeholder satisfaction and the proper functioning of the branch. Commit to the expansion and success of the organization through the implementation of strategies that increase productivity and ensure stakeholder satisfaction. Manage the entire branch facilities.

REPORT RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

The position is based in Inanda and Operations at the PROTEC National Offices in Randburg

Reports to: General Manager

Responsibilities:

The owner will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Administration:
Provide stakeholders with weekly, monthly and annual progress reports on the status of the branch.
Accurate record keeping of all resources, assets, and student records.
Coordinate the Post-School and Alumni Program encouraging the participation of students in the program.
Management responsibilities:
Create a positive learning environment for all students, employees, internal and external customers.
Locate areas for improvement and propose corrective actions that respond to challenges and take advantage of growth opportunities.
Management of facilities within the branch.
Operate the branch’s business development strategy to achieve the branch’s goals and timelines.
Address employee and stakeholder satisfaction issues promptly with reference to resource allocation, student discipline, and student attendance.
Prepare monthly financial reports.
Manage the budget and allocate funds properly and efficiently.
Manage relationships with stakeholders, not limited to students, patrons, schools, and teachers.
Operations:
Develop forecasts, financial targets.
Meet goals and objectives in accordance with the PROTEC strategy.
Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all applicable regulations / laws.
Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and organization.
Maintain and establish strong relationships with all stakeholders.
Manage, schedule and supervise program activities.
Submit reports to national office, ie dashboards, finance and narrative based on agreed schedules and templates.
Knowledge:
South African education sector.
STEM and its impact on the South African economy and society in general (career opportunities for students).
South African Schools Act, Student Promotion Requirements.
Assess local conditions and identify current and future opportunities.
Stay up-to-date with educational changes and provide reports on necessary changes and effects.
Educational policies, that is, religious, SACE, disciplinary, teacher code of conduct, inclusive education, etc.
Support for:
Share knowledge with other branches and national offices on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
Build and maintain relationships with students by providing support and advice.
Requirements:

The holder must have the following attributes:
Matrix Degrees with Mathematics and Physical Sciences as main subjects.
A certificate or diploma in STEM careers from a registered FET institution will be an added bonus.
Relevant four-year qualification (Education; Project Management, Financial Management, Administration).
10 years of relevant experience in the industry.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office or equivalent.
Internet skills, including the use of emails, group messaging, and information gathering.
Numerical and literacy / communication skills.
General understanding of office equipment.

Own transportation with a valid driving license. It is from formal education to HEIs.
